Hello Allan

Thanks for this - apologies for the delay in replying but I have been away on holiday.

James Samuel WINDEATT is not one of my "kin" but we do know about him - just after 1881 he left for the States where he became quite a well-known theatrical photographer and his photos still come up for sale fairly regularly:

There was another Windeatt photographer in the States - a William - but we still haven't worked out who he was - perhaps a relative of James Samuel . . .
