Beastmaster wrote that Romney will never be elected again. I'd love to agree, but not sure I can.
Romney campaigned on a message of half-truths (balancing the budget solely with cuts to waste), fraud (his 'work-days' and his media campaign to make O'Brien look like a shrill lefty), and pandering ads.
The public knew what they were getting, and they got it. No reason they won't ask for more in three years.
Most people (including me) do not use state government - other than to build roads and provide local aid, which funds my local library, which I do use. If state government evaporated tomorrow, I would not notice. I'm a bit different, in that I actually believe state government provides useful services, and that many people (parents of retarded kids, to name ONE cohort) need it to survive.
But most people are selfish - or forgetful - and just don't care about the needs of others. They will not care if Romney lies. As long as his lies do not hurt them.
Romney is a terrible governor - and seems to be a fairly bad person. (His medicare fraud withthat Waltham company was horrible.) But not enough people give a hoot.
Sorry.

THIS 2X4 BOARD IS ENTIRELY AFFILIATED WITH GOVERNOR ROMNEY AND THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS. GOVERNOR ROMNEY NEITHER READS NOR WRITES AND MOST LIKELY WILL NEVER BE ELECTED FOR ANYTHING IN POLITICS AGAIN. TO TEACH THE GOVERNOR, VISIT HIS OFFICIAL WEBSITE AT http;//www.mass.gov/portal/index.jsp?pageID=aghome&agid=gov

I think police are fine and should get what they can grab. Other they just steal from the evidence room.
Detail work keeps cops honest!
Beside - if you support Romney, you support cops. Other, you're no good Americans.

Regardless of what they are paid, I feel better knowing that police ARE watching construction zones. At least it keeps people from speeding. And how long is the Governor's term again... it feels like years already....

I just laid off half of my workforce so I could keep making payments for my new pearl white Lexus RX 330 (with gold trim). But man it was worth it -- this ride is sooo choice!

Serpico - Please. I understand your point, but you are insulting both of our intelligence if you think that anyone will believe that flagmen won't save any money.
I will back the Quinn Bill and detail work for police for one reason - police supported my campaign. If you had supported the Democrat, I would oppose the Quinn Bill and support flagmen.
Come back to the real world; your paycheck is ready.
Thanks for writing.

Divahoodc are you kidding me ? If there is anywhere at all you want to find dope just go to the nearest methadone clinic. These junkies ruin the entire community where these dope dens are established. Half these creeps never even held a job and they are sucking benefits from a system they never even put into.Whats a cab fare from Revere to Mass Ave cost the taxpayer?

Governor, I'am writing to you about your recent comments and cuts to the substance abuse programs. If your lucky enough not to know anyone with a drug problem then it's hard for you to understand the good these programs do.Methadone clinics help addicts get stable so they can go back to work.Once working they pay taxes, vote, etc. Also your comment about addicts getting a free high only shows how little you know.Addicts on methadone don't "get high" from it!It surpresses the desire to use.I have plenty of ideas on how to balance the budget that leave this and other programs alone. Also I think if you asked the public to pick between cuting health, school etc.budgets and a small tax increase you might be surprised.Have you ever looked on the language paper that comes in every welfare letter? They have it translated into Chinese,Croation,Russian,Slavik,Asian,French the list goes on.All the people receive aid.I bet Jon Q Public doesn't know that.Sorry for going on! Thank-you!!

What do you and your adminstration feel they can do for the medically uninsured population of Massachusettes that is growing? For the 18-44 age group, those whose income is below $50000, as well as the college grads?

Sal Degregorio the cities and towns will not save a dime from flagmen. The cities and towns do not pay for details the contractor does. This also places additional police officers on the street at no expense to the taxpayer. You can not hire flagman at a lower rate. The prevailing wage law would require flagmen to be paid the same as officers. Who do you want directing traffic an excon or a police officer. And trust me keyspan and verizon etc are not gonna charge you less or give you a rebate. If you thinl they are keep dreaming.
