Thanks Shelley. The positive feedback really means a lot to me, particularly coming from someone whose work I also respect and enjoy.
As far as the 'toboggan porn' thing goes, it was just an attempt to help a friend spread a meme, for fun.
re : young girls being seduced - oddly, although the men are rightly characterized as predators, there is little talk (that I'm aware of) about 'seduction'. I'll need to do more research....

Sorry, one more message for the day...
Stavy, chicky, I wanted to stop by and tell you how much I enjoy your weblog. I'm also curious as to why a Google search on "toboggan porn" returns your link, but we'll leave that for another day....

I did forget to mention that a new thing in the news seems to be young girls posting photos of themselves. Or parents posting suggestive photos of children for a fee.

I've not heard anything about this being an issue in the States -- at all. As John said, middle-upper in this country usually has everything they want (as a people, we're not known to hold back when it comes to buying).
We are hearing about young girls being seduced by older men through the Internet. Curious: does this happen that much in Korea? Or other east-Asian countries?

I don't think it happens that much in the States because upper-middle class high school girls *have* a lot already (the per-capita income is just a lot greater). When I was in China, though, I saw it a lot, so maybe it's an east-Asian thing. I dunno.
