I heard today that the MIARAP adjustments may be made using routers! A supervisor told me this so I question how true it might be. Has anyone else heard this?

eyewatcher /m49316 They told us at our region union training that if you can work something out in your LMOU dealing with T.E.s and A/L, with opening up more slots, by putting the T.E.s weeks in there also, then more power to you. Others were asking the same question. It's like the A/L year gets worse and worse each year.

FYI Postal members, who are Vietnam veterans, should look into the possibility of their qualifying for the new Agent Orange presumptive diseases that the VA announced on 13 Oct 09.

Thanks Fledgling....also our LMOU does not cover anything about Te's cuz our LMOU is ANCIENT. We are in the process of forming a committee to make a new one after about 25 years. Just wondering if there were any Step 4's or anything else that had covered TE's and A/L.. Thanks!!~

18. Are transitional employees covered by leave provisions of Articles 10 and 30 of the National Agreement?

No. The granting of annual leave to transitional employees is covered by the Memorandum of Understanding, Re: Transitional Employees - Additional
Provisions.

Can anyone tell me or give a ref pls to a TE situation. We are beginning the leave book for next year, a mgr stated that TEs are NOT included in the count for the percentile carriers taking A/L and this could be a problem for carriers. So many carriers are retiring or leaving for medical reasons and are NOT being replaced with regular carriers cuz routes are still being held up for clerk excessing (yes, still a nightmare here.) Anyway, we have always had 3 carriers off weekly but the mgr stated that three will be impossible next year cuz there are NOT enough carriers and TE's do NOT count as the part of 14%. Does anyone know if TEs count for leave purposes? Thanks.....

I asked this in the PTF forum too, just reposting it here because there seems to be more action.

If I am scheduled to start @ 10am all this week but my Dr. puts me off work (ongoing medical issue, non work related), do I get 8 hours of sick leave for each day? If I end up working this week (which I hope I DO) I wouldn't get 8 hours of work each day because of the late start time, so if I use sick leave how much do they give me?
