SK (my ladylove, and the holder of the purse-strings) would prefer 'free', but I have conditional approval of 'cheap'. This is a dominating concern in the purchase of non-essential stuff, a category to which, in her books, the purchase of a domain name and hosting services rightly belongs...

(all three of you!)
Well you got this recently regular reader to reply after making me feel practically singled out. Might wanna give 1dollarhosting.com a look. Though all I can vouch is that they're apparently still doing business since I first saw their billboard in San Francisco about 2 years ago.
Enjoy your site. The last time I was in Korea was in '89. Your blog offers a neat perspective on what's up over there nowadays. I had no idea broadband was that ubiquitous and that fast, for instance. Amazing.

I've had about a million ideas...emptybottle.org is available (or was last time I checked), and I was thinking about bosconomicon.org (me being the man of a thousand nicknames, bosco being the one most people know me by), and heck, what else - lessordinary.org (as in a life yadda yadda) is gone, but lifelessordinary.org is still available, but maybe a bit pretentious...I have a weakness for clever ones, like Matt's a.wholelottanothing.org though...Dunno, yet, basically!

I use webstrike solutions. The rates are good: $30 (US) for the entire first year, then something like $8/month from then on. 50MB disk space 2GB transfer, etc. The only issue has been the stats server, which was acting all affected for a while, but is fixed now, I think.

I use the pay version of F2S and have had no problems so far. 24 pounds/year for 20 megs of space, 12 pounds for your domain registration. Many features. Nice, blue background.

I use 4ph.com for hosting my site. I get for $15 a month 5 gigs of transfer at $3/gig with overusage fees of $5/gig. Plus, I get 500 megs of disk space

Chris, how much room do you need and what kind of functionality do you want outside of the weblogging? I have a server, I can give you room if you're interested.

Stav, 123ehosting takes care of sennoma.net, both the domain name ($11/year, about the cheapest I've seen) and the server space ($25 setup, $50/year). (Even if Shelley provides the space, you still need a domain.)

The bird beat me to it. I had skipped this post somehow. Email me if you ever want space on cheshirecat.org ... can do you image upload and an MT login, and I have over 500Mb which is always getting bigger, so unless you're planning on going mad I could squeeze you in. But sen's right: if you want a domain other than cheshirecat.org/waeguk, or whatever, you'd still need a framed redirect (that costs me $14 a year) for the domain name. Anyway, I provide space free for friends or starving artists, so ask and ye shall receive.
