Nobody knew this was coming 2 years ago, so no one could have told you then. How far are you from your District offices? If it is far enough away, chances are no one will put in for your office anyway.

I was hired as a PMR almost 2 years ago. At the time my PM told me she was going to teach me as much as she could about running the office because she was going to retire in about a year and it would help me in getting the PM position. My PM retired and I was appointed OIC. At first I received .28 an hour more until I found out I wasn't getting even the minimum OIC pay rate, now I'm getting the minimum. Our office is a Level 13 manual office and I do everything...payroll, paying bills, ordering stamps, ordering supplies, route inspection, running the window, scheduling work hours, sorting route mail from PObox mail, then delivering the box mail. I have no clerk or PMR, if I want a day off, I borrow the PMR from another office. I found out that they posted the PM job on Tuesday and went in to bid on it, and was told that I need to withdraw it because I'm not eligible to apply. Only RIF impacted employees are eligible to apply. I really wish someone would have told me before I had accepted the OIC position and all the responsibilities and headaches that came with it. Sorry this is so long, I'm just venting. I'm mad at myself for being so naive and I feel I've been used.

I have to admit it is a bit odd that she did not know her level office....perhaps she had her Husband or someone on this forum representing her? Nonetheless, she has my email address and has not contacted me. This in itself is strange. Unless she's petrified, and USPS can do that to you.

"speed velocity" that's redunant. "unladen swallow" = post poop swallow? after pooping? as oppossed to before pooping. Is a post poop swallow faster than a pre-poop swallow?

Maybe this person has no clue of the "air speed velocity of an unladen swallow", as well. Still can have us help, I say. Just getting real, personally.

So let's see. Somebody comes on here complaining about PM/PMR and that same person doesn't even have a clue what Level office they are working in. Get real.

/m2286 Just go to yahoo or google and get yourself a free email address that you only use for posting on discussion boards. Don't use it for anything else & you should be ok.

The other thing you can do is use an anonymizer. I don't know if people use them much anymore, but they used to be popular. One I used to use is sneakemail & was always satisfied with it. It's a little clunky but doable.

Pretty certain we're a level 18. Could be wrong though.

I read the link you provided and am just shaking my head in disbelief.
Good for her for sticking to her guns and fighting for herself ~ hope she gets her job reinstated, back pay, reimbursement of legal funds, etc.

I'm sorry for your situation and I wish you all the best ~ you're probably not looking for sympathy but what else can I say? Stick to your guns and remember my own personal PO motto "this too shall pass"

PMRs are for offices 16 and below......you say this is a level 18?

Read this link! I rest my case, this is exactly what USPS is trying to do to me, get me to admit to something I didn't do. It will be one year since the investigation began next month, where are they going with this....I'll take it to court too if I have too! They try to bully us and get us to admit something we didn't do, take a Plea Bargain, NO WAY! Bring it on:
