I work in a Public Library and want to create a blog that would provide current events and new acquisition info, etc. I need to find examples of blogging policies used by other libraries. Can anyone help?
Thank you!

This is a great weblog resource. It's a great read to try and learn about new programs and tolls you can use to create your very own weblog. You can even find interesting odd ball conversations about things on here that will feed your hunger for something new! great job guys -bb

Does anyone know what happened to Onclave. It seemed interesting and I was just about to start using it--but it has been offline for over a week

I've been searching for quite a while for a relatively simple blogging tool for a photo gallery/blog site. Any suggestions? I'm primarily interested in converting my html site into some sort of blog/html mix. The current site can be found at www.fieldandforest.com. I was fine with html until my site became so popular the updating became a full time job. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

An Invitation to Take Part in an On-line Survey on BloggingI am conducting an on-line survey about blogging as a part of the research for my honours thesis at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia. The survey is titled "Why is it that we blog and what do we understand about the blogging process?" I would really appreciate as many bloggers as possible taking part and helping me to complete my project. This questionnaire consists of only 18 questions and should only take a short time to complete. The final outcomes of this study will be made available on my Web site and every participant who has submitted an e-mail address will be notified when the results are available. The anonymity of every participant is guaranteed, e-mail and blog addresses will not be reported in my thesis, nor will they be passed on to any individual or company and they will be destroyed at the completion of the project. The survey is available at http://royby.com/blogging_survey/survey.html. I hope that you can take part - thank you Roy Hornsby royby.com a research weblog about weblogging

I'm new to blogging and am experimenting with blogger.com. I want to be able to post from my Handspring pda and have installed the AvantBlog channel of AvantGo - but I can't get to log on from the pda, I just go round in circles. I enter my username and password, click on Login and then get the message to synch in order to download a list of the blogs that are available to me - but after synching I just get the login page again ....has anyone else got it to work?

I'm looking for beta testers to a new feedback/comments system for bloggers. It offers rich text editing and comment-to-comment mechanism. Please write to yariv@israblog.co.il if you're interested in beta testing the system. It requires embedding Javascript in your blog.

I can't seem to add comment tools for my blog. I think the most webmaster-friendly comment system is YACCS but their not accepting new users as of the moment. Can anyone help me with aspcomments? Don't understand it ... I'm not really a developer.

SnorComments has died, but there is now SnorComments2 - a script programmed in perl that can be run on most web servers with cgi capabilities. It can be used for adding a commenting feature to Blogger.com blogs

I will just say, for what it's worth, that I consider myself well aware of how to set permissions and I know how my directory structure works...but I spent HOURS trying to set up Movable Type and couldn't get it to work at all. I still love Blogger.

Just wondering if there are any more detailed discussions on switching from Blogger to MT? I've just spent days setting up class blogs for my students, but I'm willing to investigate if it gives me some more options.
