and what does that mean? It's been 3 months. I had a pre disciplinary meeting? POOM asked me if I 'like' to resign, I wouldn't, now what???? :(

off duty is off duty. you are not fired, but you are not working either. you are not on leave, you are off duty. I am not sure, but do not think there is a time limit they can keep you in off duty status. You might could stay this was for a couple years even.

OMG! I'm so depressed. I've never worked harder at anything in my life.
I'll have the League find out if there is a time limit. I'll let you know.
Thanks for everything :) God Bless!

Spent, IMHO, if you are not receiving a pay stub, you are no longer in the employ of the Postal Service. I believe you would still get a stub with all zeros. My advice to you is to GIVE IT UP. Move on with your life. You are getting all stressed over a dead-end job and lousy pay. Every one must eat a little humble pie once in a while. As far as employment references, you only need to provide the 1-800 # to MN to verify you were employed. Do not give them your PMs name and number. a good postal manager (oxymoron) wouldn't give a performance evaluation anyway, for fear of being sued.

Hardest part for me? The OIG told me I put $100 a week in my pocket....aurrgghh!! That little bastard was sooo wrong....don't know how to get over this? Maybe I'll write a book.
Dead-end job with lousy pay, yes, you're right. It was just the "principle" that's all :( I did nothing wrong.

I can speek for all the postal employees who over the past that have had discipline given to them, "I did nothing wrong". But we got discipline anyway!

POOM said she was going to issue me discipline and did not? At least if she did that I'd know I was still a PMR. It's the wondering, and the insult of the OIG, OIG tried to prove I had done wrong and FAILED.

If you want to know if you are still considered on the roles go to one of those sites that lists the pay of all Postal employees. Put in the zip for your office, and see if your name is there.
If you are on the roles, do not resign. As long as you do not resign, they cannot fill the position. You should have never signed for the office when starting as OIC if the PM drawer was not right and there were problems. Should have made them fix it first. Overage should have went into trust until they found the problem.
If your PM has to work every Sat. that will be good payback for throwing you to the dogs.
If you want to stay with USPS then keep bugging your union to help you. Offer to take a transfer somewhere else.
Otherwise, I agree with others. move on with your life lesson learned. You lost the job, but they did not arrest you which would have kept you from other employment, even if not convicted. Go on with your life and leave them hanging.
Had the same sit. when a clerk from my office moved away but didn't resign. Said they couldn't replace her because she was still on the roles. So finally PM said then she was going to schedule the clerk and when she didn't show up say she was AWOL. Don't know what happened, but then they eliminated the position anyway. But, if you can stay on the roles they can't hire another PMR {I think}.

WNY Clerk LOL, I keep checking that site and I'm still on there. It says I am as a 'Postmaster' though, not a PMR? Thought that was strange seeing as the PMR down the road doing an OIC is listed as a PMR. As for pay stubs with zeros, I had direct deposit, but am not receiving any stubs.
Yes, my union, well the League, is supposed to contact my POOM, wonder what she'll say? I like my League rep, she's fiesty! And, your right, when office was transferred to me PMs trust was off by more than $2,000. The PM whom transferred the office to me had 30 yrs...YOU THINK HE'D HAVE KNOWN BETTER? This discrep was documented during transfer, but I was too niave to know that should've been resolved before hand.
I believe this is part of why my PM chose me for that OIC, she didn't want anyone else in there. I SURE HOPE SHE IS CATCHING SOME HEAT! As for working Sats, she loves it, never wanted a PMR except for Dr. appts, and she's using a Clerk from down yonder to sub for those appt, witch. How can she live with herself! During my Pre Disc meeting the POOM said my PM told her that I told her (PM) that I purposely did not put the bulk mailing in AIC 130....I almost fell off my chair....not sure if I believe it or not....but IF I had done that, then actually $ would've been missing, and it WASN'T. So, if my PM DID say that, that made her look really stupid!
Guess I'm disgusted with myself for being such a fool.....and later thought she may have set me up unpurpose. She is VERY good with bookkeeping and numbers, me, just the basics, and the SOP is very demanding and confusing.
I can't bring myself to resign because I did not steal. I did not even get defensive, I was 200% cooperative with the OIG's, even when my POOM pulled me from my OIC. I helped the new OIC get on track....my POOM stayed throughout this process. Unfortunately, I do not have the SAME POOM :(
I have handled myself professionally throughout this investigation. And believe me, I could've lost it easily!
I will let you know when my Union/League lets me know what the POOM says...I'm not going away that easy!
Thanks everyone for your ideas and concerns, I so much appreciate it, more than you know!

WNY Clerk! I didn't realize you had said do the search via zip code, I usually do it via my name. PMR zip code office I am NOT listed under. However, OIC office I AM listed as PM, along with actual PM whom is in another office OIC'ing making 40,000 MORE than me!

Spent, I feel bad for your situation. Why don't you consider looking for a real job in a healthier environment, outside of the sick, and dying postal service? You would probably be better off.

whatever: you are so right, maybe I'll get my job back and screw them over-hahahaha, actually don't have it in me and I REALLY doubt I'll get my job back.
Maybe I'll just request a formal letter releasing me from the $ they said I would be "criminally prosecuted" if I stole. GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
curious: no not in oregon, tell me your story!
Happy 4th all, be safe!
