on the frequently asked questions site, spent indicated that he (she) is a temporary casual.
i guess the longer spent keeps posting here, the job title will keep changing.
either that or the whole entire story they have spun is just that............a story.

WNY Clerk, thanks for asking: I am in "emergency off duty pay status"/temporarily suspended.

"Spent" has come a long way with knowledge due to the fact that I'm home all day and can research. Listening to Spent wont HURT anyone. All I want to do is inform

"TEMPORARY CASUALS HAVE NO RIGHTS AT ALL, THEY CAN FIRE YOU WITHOUT A REASON. I KNOW I AM ONE IN A NON DUTY PAYSTATUS AND MY BADGE TAKEN FROM ME. WE ARE USED AND JUST THEIR SLAVES. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME IN THE POSTAL SERVICE". (This is my posting from the FAQ forum=does anyone see a contradiction in whom I say I am? ANYONE besides KITTY?)

PMR's are temporary-casual-leave replacements. It surprises me how ignorant Kitty is, she contradicts me constantly. If you need to know what a PMR is Kitty, look in the ELM, I refuse to amuse you with my replies.

WNY..I have already had my predisciplinary meeting more than a month ago, no word yet. I have not heard from my POOM since she called and asked me to resign.

NAPUS has not been communicating with me. I spoke to the League today, and have to decide which one I will have represent me. I have to decide within' the next few days.

still haven't answered the question.
are you a carrier who became a 204-b
a pmr
a casual
or none of the above but instead a troll?

casuals and pmr's are the same thing. They're not actual postal employees. No attached benefits, no nothing. No need to discipline them. Just don't put them on any work schedule, and they 'disappear'.

Thank you whatever.

I'm still on the rolls, how do I disappear paperwork wise?

And I had a Pre Disciplinary meeting, casual don't get those either? Is this because I have a Union (sort of, NAPUS and the LEAGUE).

I am wondering if because the OIG told me I put $100 in my pocket a week if they are in trouble some how?

casuals are called "89 day wonders" because that's how long their assignment lasted. if they were re-hired they would go for another 89 days. can the same be said for a pmr? 89 days and gone? i don't think so.

but i'm done with the saga. even ripley wouldn't believe it.

know what Kitty, I'm as confused as you are.....I thought I was supposed to receive a break at the 89 days, and didn't get one until the 362 day, during that OIC. I think the Postal Service screwed up somewhere.

What IS a PMR? http://www.postmasters.org/educational/

ELM 17:347 Former Postal or Federal Employees
For applicants selected and hired for temporary or casual jobs after having
previously served in a position in the Postal Service or other federal agency,
wherein they were covered by civil service retirement, health benefits, or life
insurance, such persons must have at least a 4-DAY BREAK between such
service and their appointment as a casual or temporary employee. For more
information on restrictions on hiring a postal or federal employee covered by
benefits into a temporary postal position, see Handbook EL-312, 233.34,

I worked 362 days before my official break in service. I was not covered by civil service retirement etc.....

Temp and casual jobs are entirely different than pmr jobs.****There is no break in service required.****The only similar characteristic that the pmr job has with temp and casuals is the lack of benefits.

I am a PMR whom was always forced to take a break at the 362 day. My TRC is required to do the same.

It's so complicated and confusing isn't it? That's why I'm here. I want to figure out this mess :(

PS. I chose the League to represent me, and she said she'd be calling my POOM today :O Not sure if because I was an OIC when I was suspended if this may save me? And, not sure I want to be saved???

PMR to PTF, you are so lucky to be 'career'. Good for you! ; )

Come and work in our P&DC. Casuals here always call in sick , come in drunk, and still have their jobs.
