How's this for setting an example of what Lanc's bowlers are doing,as well as writing Valentine poems! A whole gang of juniors went packing supermarket bags at Asda,Blackpool last weekend and raised a huge amount of money for the junior squads.I am told it was extremely hard work and they were a credit to the Lancashire shirts that they were wearing. WELL DONE AND A BIG THANKYOU TO:- Charlotte Rathbone,Rebecca Wilson,Jenny Bold,Alistair Batty,Laura Taylor,William Nice,Samantha & Philip Dennison,Natalie Crook,Simon Entwistle,Greg Marcus,Ben Webb,Ross Gowrie,Chris Gowrie,Ben Robinson,Adam Jareh,Paul Smith and Helen Morwood.A special mention for Andrew Wilson who worked hard even though he did'nt make the squad this year, also Toby Webb who is a YAC. Thanks also to Pete and the parents who helped.

It seems strange that peeps have come on this forum and slagged off lancashire to their hearts content, sometimes being totatly rude to the lancashire officials. Yet we now see because of a few funny poems, peeps want messages deleted left riht and center.
If you dont like them, dont come on the site. Its not like its porno. If it is Brian who created the site, and he starts deleting messages then it becomes a sensored forum and he might start deleting any awkward questions put to lancashire, so lancashire may as well delete the entire forum now.

I see back in November this appeared for Mal from a NW5's bowler
NWF's 396 11-02-2002 09:17 AM ET (US) Get Cancer and die
Where were all the bowlers comments for deleting messages then? Or are the ones wanting censorship now...the ones who wrote that then?

To Onlooker and Lancs official. No one wants to remove jokes - poems - fun comments or critisim of the county (see my earlier comments on this) The sort of comment refered to by Lancs official and personal attacks (non - humerous and on people who are not obviously in a position to respond) are not reasonable behaviour in anyones book, and as JUNIORS and many people from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD can read this we do not want them to have to read that sort of stupidity. This was heavily discussed at the last county meeting and we are attempting to move to a forum where offensive remarks can be edited out. Critisim of the county or its officials will not be edited out unless strictly personal as this would defeat the whole idea of the forum. We NEED people to say what they think is wrong, so that it can be discussed or corrected. That is what the forum is about - and to have a friendly laugh - not to make the sort of stupid comment highlighted by Lancs Official. Censorship should be done by those writing on here before they write it - in consultation with their own good sense and conscience - then no editing will be needed.

Onlooker.
This site is a forum for Bowling topics for the Lancashire members. I do not like seeing posted messages slagging people off when there is absolutely no call or need for it. It is supposed to be a BOWLING FORUM not a site for delinquents to air their non poetical talents and I do think that if it carries on then there should be some sort of censorship. Nobody really wants to read that sort of thing.

Yeah quite right Browser.
at least ALL my poems are on a Bowling theme, which is what, as you say this forum is all about. And of course the one about a bowler from the City was refering to Manchester and should not be taken to mean anyone specific, living or deceased.
However Mo never objected to his, and in fact he came back and bettered it...lol.

Browser,
You a totally wrong in saying this forum is for Lancashire Bowlers, If it was, it would be a closed forum or a regulated one. Like the new one on the Lancs Website, or the Lancs MSN Site.
If you want regulation, then go and use them. This is an open forum for All the world to use and there have been visitors who have written on it from around the world.
If you were really concerned about how this forum was used, you would post on it under your real name, not come on as browser and then take the moral high ground. The point of coming on under an assumed name is that nobody should take your comments seriously...even mine!!!

Browser you a right saying that this is a bowling forum and if you cant use it as such then you should get off it an clear off.
It should be only bowlers like us non-BTBA members who should be allowed on, to crap on the policies and rules of the BTBA at local & National level and wind them all up.
Take what we can and stuff the rest...thats my moto

Whats the matter with you all, keep this forum as a message and fun site..and dont pick on any individual. By the way on crimewatch tonight they say they've got six emotionally damaged sheep that can pick Mal Holmes out of a line up....he was in Wales last week

Mike G You said 2 days ago in your comment for the Scott Banks that it consisted of A senior, Adult, junior and other things. The main thing you said was it was this Saturday. Can anybody confirm the date of the Scott banks for me and Chris Maughan and the other bowlers from Blackpool as far as we are aware it is the Sunday we play. Thanks.
