well 21st, U24 had better not be part of lancashire, otherwise he has just jeopardised his chance of being in any team having just insulted every member of the management team by saying that we are all so "out of touch, and how can we possibly pick a team".

U24, how people are bowling now is a very important thing, I know, and I am not disputing that, but EXPERIENCE counts for a whole lot more, and if you really had bowled for the county, or had anything to do with the selection of a team, you would understand that. Would you pick someone that was bowling well now, but it was their first big thing, or would you pick someone who you knew would be able to pull out all the stops just when you need them too. You can only do that if you have experience, and that does not mean you need to have done anything recently. Oh I do believe I was the first woman to enter the Roses Tour, and I came a respectable 5th, which when Mark Smith averaged over 230 (I think), I don't consider too bad, and not too far out of contention.

Now can we please do as Mike says (and I will shut up too!!) and please join together to make this county better, not argue and try to pull it down any more

 Is is obvious that you have no idea which bowlers were in the squad or who was available etc. If you have a genuine point to make - come to the meeting on 11th October in Southport and make it. Otherwise this is a boring and pointless waste of space.

Phil are we sure U24 plays for Our county as he says he played for A COUNTY me thinks it maybe a Yorkshireman playing tricks on us.If its not maybe another county name your county at least U24.

It wasnt a question to you phil,Im sure granny can answer the question asked.How can managers pick teams who are so out of touch with everything thats going on.
Why not ask people who are playing tournaments to pick the team they are week in week out playing with players around the country i know at least 6 or 7.

Can this web site not be used for the positive aspects of Lancashire bowling? Do we always have to be moaning ,complaining and slagging people off which then needs responding to. Can we not be a county that all help each other, pull together, share the work load and encourage those who are doing something. If the workers did not do it you would not even have trials and a county organisation then everybody really could have a moan but there would be nobody listening or responding. We need team spirit and HELPERS.

Asking a question now is a personal attack seems to me your always on the defensive stop being negative and answer the question thats all i ask,By the way i am under 24 and have played for a county.All i am doing is asking a question to an answer which granny gave of course it doesnt matter when the trials are as most lancs bowlers dont play in anything anymore.Thats not an insult its a fact.

 Playing for England was three yrs ago..you probably were not bowling then, but Belgium 6 weeks ago Won £600 and Ireland 3 weeks ago won £300..might be a bit fresher for your pea sized brain. Besides being under 18 you seem to be under the influence of something else get from behind your nicname and lets see who you really are ..as we've all noticed that the poorer bowlers like yourself all do their talking on here and not on the lanes.

What gives people the idea that they have the right to insult people from behind a nickname.
I assume that U24 is either not under 24 or not good enough to make the squad as otherwise he?she is insulting his/her own team manager - not very clever! If I am wrong on either point I would challenge U24 to come out from behind the nickname and stand by their comments, but of course we will get excuses instead won't we??
Please - everyone - this forum is to discuss matters pertaining to bowling In Lancshire, not to have a go at individuals.

Gold and silver eh against the other teams in the oldies triple crown, not much competittion there then ! when was that, last year, the year before dont remember reading it in gotenpin. your memry must go back longer than ares or are you mixing upo your dates again

under 18..or is it under 8 judging by your spelling..i do know when the trials are and will be bowling in them..as for moaning for England i dont, i just put my points forward
but i have played for Englang and won a gold and silver..whats your haul..we could give you one for the size of your mouth if we can find one big enough which i doubt very much

Strewth it takes some gettin through to people don't it.
The trials are being held at Burnley in October - thats for EVERY AGE GROUP INCLUDING THOSE WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ADULT SQUAD.
There are then two further dates in November at Worsley ONLY FOR THOSE WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ADULT SQUAD.
As stated previously we have more than one weekend because we realise that people may have other commitments. The NW5s, Preston Predator and Worsley Masters were all taken into account but if we start looking to Malta - the Midlands and everywhere else in the world we will never find one weekend never mind 3.
U24 - another person wishing to have a niggle - thats fine - we will listen to everything you say - and take note - when you put your real name and get on the lanes and show us that you are good enough to be accepted for the squad. Until that time I am afraid you will just appear to be one more of the spineless wonders who come on whining but are never prepared to do anything positive.
Supermo has the right to make his points - he gives his name and gets on the lanes and gives his best for the county (and accepts with good grace if things dont always go his way). Others could learn from his example!!!
There is meeting at Southport Bowl on October 11th if anyone has a point to raise - if you can't make tell someone who can. The committee welcomes helpful ideas, they don't need nameless and pointless critisism.

aghh Phil if the trials are on in november there is a NW5 day, amidland scratch leegue, a worsley masters, preston predator, senior bitterne.

But wait the welsh senior open and malta senior open is in october acording to edwins site so supermo can bowl in the trials hurrrayyy must be his age that hes got the months mixed up, the trials are in november arnt they? or have we changed them for supermo

well supamo youll just have to bowl the weekend your free wont you with the rest of the old dears who aint in other comps, thats why there is 3 weekends.

the point is I'm sure we can all find a tournament we could bowl in rather than the trials then have a moan because thats on the same day as one of the weekends of the trials. I dont know about bowling for england. you could moan forr england and probabbly the world probabbly why you arnt captin of the oldys any more. next year let the commitee know when your free so that the rest of us can bowl around your plans.
