For anyone who hasn't been to a Weber Cup or AMF Masters I must recommend going to this. The view is excellent - you can get to meet some of the best bowlers in the world and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's free and the more who go the more likely we are to have more of this sort of thing in the north - let's show them we know our bowling in Lancashire, See you all there!!!

Anyone connected with a YBC please note and let everyone know as soon as possible. After confirmation from the BTBA we have A CHANGE to the rules for the trials this year
ANY JUNIOR WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ADULT *** OR YAC *** SQUAD MUST HOLD A CURRENT JUNIOR/ADULT BTBA CARD. As it is so close to the closing date for entries, proof that application has been made for the correct card would be acceptable. If you need any further details please me by e-mail me on pcaldersley_lancs@hotmail.com

I dont think the comittee realised that there are two Senior opens on the trails dates. The Malta open and the Welsh open which are on the first and last weeks of the trails

We knew about the Welsh MO, we also know about the various junior YAC and adult tournaments around the country but if we avoid everyone there would never be any trials - thats why we have 3 weeks rather than one. Hope you can make the trials on the second week - at least it will be good practice for you :o).

Oh no supermo. The malta open and welsh open, what abot the bonganonga doubles in austarlia or the kantmando singles on the otrher weeks, perhaps the committee ought take not of them to and put the trials back to month which has no tournaments world wide.
after the bomb sounds about the right time

Phil, Does this mean you can play all your games in one centre,Because i thought you had to play in two centres so unless you can split yourself in half you can only play in one centre at a time.

U18, This is typical of our committee choose a few weeks with many tournys on and get a second rate side.Phil lets hope the countys are in dunstable again so we can say the team averaged well when everybody is 20 sticks higher and say we played well.

The trials are being played over two centres, and I think what Phil was referring to was that Mo would hopefully be able to make weekend number 2 of the set that is being played at the first centre, rather than the whole thing, coz there are another 2 weekends for the second set. And U24, why do you think the county trials are run over so many weekends, to try to avoid as many tournaments as possible to allow everyone a chance to play!!!! they do not specifically choose to have the trials on the same days as tournaments, but I would like to see you try to find a suitable weekend for everybody, without any tournaments that are being run anywhere else!!! And I am sure there are a lot of people, who would get very insulted at you calling them "a second rate team member" Does that apply to Zara Glover too???

Rachel, You seem to do a lot of stiking up for people who run things in the county ummmmmmmm wonder why. When was the last tournament you played away from Lancs.Admittedly Zara plays alot but she gets in on the Team England rule so doesnt have to qualify and i didnt mention which team. Its not the commitee who chose a date its the centres chosen as to when they can fit them in.

If you know me U24, you will not need to ask what I have done in the past. All I am saying is that the county is never going to get it just right for everybody, so people should give them a bit of slack, and yes I do stick up for the committee as I am one of the managers for the YAC's so it will fall back on me to a certain point, if my bowlers aren't happy with things. There are also other team england members in the county team as it stands now in our "second rate team", not just Zara.
