where's me map good thinking not putting your real name - Hope you can run fast if she finds out who you are. Zara ia born and bred Lancashire and proud of it - as you well know! She might just be a little upset with you for suggesting she is a "suvverner". It's ok I won't tell her who you are - unless she asks me -hehehe.

Please can someone let me know when the entry forms for the trials will be available. Can you also confirm the dates, times and centre that the JUNIOR squads have to bowl. I am very aware that it is only a short time before trials and things need to get organised asap.

I'm very offended, being accused of being a Southern Shandy Drinking Fairy!!!!!! I'm also living in Bournemouth so it's Dorset. If you really think things are so different down here you a mistaken. There are still the same people every area has complaining about everything without having any constructive ideas on how to improve things. The only way to get better is to travel to different areas and tournaments to play on a variety of conditions. There are no good and bad conditions (so long as there is some head oil to protect the lanes), just bad bowlers who don't know how to adjust.

Mark for once you make perfect sense LOL Well done Zara hope your equipment arrives safe from Malaysia. What did you make of the conditions Tim said they were quite short is this true. For the Weber Cup in Altringham maybe you and Nicky should be chosen then we might win.

The players that were entering the Open put more equipment on the plane, whereas I wanted a break so didn't enter the Open so I shipped most of my equipment back. I know Lisa, Kirsten, Paul and Nick were thinking of playing. Not sure about the others. Donna and Darren are off to the World Cup on Friday so they can't play.
The condition was quite short, that's where my advantage was, as i have quite a lot of ball speed compared to the majority of women. It was totally flat inside of board ten which made it impossible to score unless you were playing a break point of board 8 or less. I played the majority of the tournament playing straight up board 4 with a Monster Bruiser which is quite a mid range pearl so I could get a bit more length. Because everyone was playing so far right there were a record number of gutter balls. It was quite amusing, there were over 300 counted after the trios.
If any of you play in a wooden lane centre with a Kegel Machine, you can down load the pattern and see if any of the technicians will replicate it for you to see for yourselves. It will play slightly different due to the air conditioning but might be interesting for you.
I am making a fleeting visit to see my folks next week so may see a few of you.
