The USA Today article suggests that the author thinks the hotel has suffered enough. It wasn't the unavailability of his reservation that burned him - "these things happen," he says - as the attitude of Night Clerk Mike. The hotel reports that the staff, including Mike, are getting attitude training, so who knows, maybe it'll even help.
