Maybe you can get a place with a railing, Cory. Sorry to hear this is coming down. Hard enough when you're there full time.

I tried to tell a property standards guy that my stuff wasn't junk either.Guess who won the arguement?I also lost my balcony garden,it was a"fire hazard".I haven't slept well in the past months. My deepest sympathies.

The problem is that I'm AMONG the people who believe that my stuff isn't junk. I don't WANNA get rid of it!

Storage, I guess. But I can't imagine Toronto/Montreal are any easier to find digs in than San Franscarcity...

Auction off your stuff on eBay! For every bit of junk there's a person that thinks it's worth something. (And most of those people have an eBay account.)

He could have a hell of a garage sale. Or an internet auction.

Try finding an apartment in Toronto or Ottawa you'll be glad you moved.Montreal is the only major city left in Canada with raesonable rents. What are you planning to do with your junk?

I'll admit, it sucks for you and your fellow Torontians who are get the big boot out of there -- but as a Chicagoan, I can state with vast certaintly that mile-long lakefront parks are an amazingly cool thing to have.

So, I dunno. I hate when people lose, but at least losing to park is a good thing for the city-at-large.
