Has anybody ever run the 225/45/17 five ring alloy wheelset (as fitted to 147 GTA, GTV V6 etc.) to a 156 sedan or Sportwagon. I have been offered a Sportwagon by a dealer (with these wheels fitted) and am concered that the increased width will compromise suspension travel and steering travel (because of tyre hitting guard). Can anybody throw any light on this one for me? Tnanx

Hi, I saw 2 cars for sale, a 1983 Alfa Giulietta and a 1982 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint. Which one is a better car for a project? How costly can it get to restore an Alfa Romeo? Thanks! kristafur@perthinternet.com

Hi there,
I have a couple of seats for sale (in very good condition) to suit an Alfasud. They're out of a TI so they fold forward. They're black with red 'TI' inserts.
Let me know if you're interested.
I'm in Canberra. You can contact me on keir73@homemail.com.au
Keir.

How many times have we heard over the past 16 years that Fiat is returning to the Australian market? When will you people stop publishing hearsay? The exchange rate is actually worse than when the last rumour was floating around this time last year. Fiat has big problems and entering the pidly Australian market would probably add to them. As much as I would dearly love to be able to buy a new Fiat to replace my ageing fleet (4 registered - 5 under or awaiting resto) I will only believe it when I see a holding yard full of cars waiting for pre delivery - then I will get exited. Please, no more rumours.
How confidant am I about this rumour - I have just purchased my first non-Fiat in 30 years - a new VW Golf

No, for sure FIATs are coming out next year. Don't you read the newspaper? It's definite. How definite am I about this rumour - I'm not even a FIAT fanatic, and never heard of all the other times FIAT has "cheated" on you. The fact is, FIAT will be here next year, the exchange rate isn't the only contributing factor, and VWs are like German Hyundais, except driven by even less interesting people. Long Live Alfas and Ferraris.

I have a Fiat 124 that hasn't been driven for about 4 years, the engine seized and didn't have the money to fix it. I am looking to get rid of it and am willing to get rid of it for $300 if someone can come and collect it. I am in sydney, in the Bankstown area, if anyone is interested please send me your contact details and I will get in touch with you, I hope someone can get some use out of it.

-ACT- Canberra Italian Car owners Hey guys Its on again this friday, our numbers are growing fast with the exception of last week (the big storm/autosaloon), we still managed to get a fair few people out for a convoy. the phillip to civic cruise caters for all ages, tastes and genders, our new website and forum is up at http://csr.derivan.netif you would like more info, check out the site, otherwise, meet us at parramatta street in phillip (near phillip exhaust) at around 8pm on a friday evening. ill be trodding around somewhere, we'll be filming more footage this friday and a sunday bbq is planned with more footage and photos to be taken. quality standards are in place, car must not bare obvious defects, rules are still the same, no burnouts or racing within the visinity of the group. CB radios are encouraged, will announce the channel on the night we now park in mort street in braddon which is fairly quiet, we still have police rolling through but they leave us alone in the quiet backstreets of braddon. Cheers, Apocalypse

Am currently studying the possibility of fitting a UNO Mk1 engine into an X1/9. I would like some photo's of the location of various bits (eg the Fuel relay). Anyone have a UNO a digital camera and an interest in discussing technical aspects of the proposed conversion.
I know of one X1/9 that was converted in Sydney, a lead to the owner would be great.
