Risking Our Future
The horrendous tragedy of September the 11th, 2001 may prove to be the catalytic push to our passing the Breakpoint where after all the rules by which we have lived and worked, will all change significantly. Reverberating over the media waves, even before World Trade Centers hellishly vanished from the proud New York City landscape, proclamations were being made as to how all our lives are about to change. Even as our eyes beheld the unbelievable and our lips withheld the unmentionable, the search for answers had begun in earnest.
To not seek these answers within our hearts and souls, is to risk all that we hold dear. I will lead off by asking, "Just what do we hold dear?" Anything less than answers that lead on toward building positive futures, will ultimately put us all at risk.
So as not to put our future at risk, we must not just begin to ask probing, wide sweeping questions, but answer them.
Probing Questions
What is currently putting societies at risk, particularly should we not make changes fast enough?
If I, as a single individual, am at personal risk, to what extent might society be at risk?
If we do not change our education systems significantly within the next few years, to what extend will we have put our children and grandchildren’s future at risk?
What are the risks to our following generations if youth are not given the skills needed for self learning and direction?
What immediate risks exist if while fewer people have less money, recent weather patterns result in poor crops?
If the global economy was already at risk prior to September 11th, how severe has that risk been increased by the loss of one of the world's key economic centers?
What risks are created by maintaining exclusive societies?
Can we re-invent society so to uphold, all that we hold dear?
What do we risk by not asking these questions?
What do we risk by not finding answers to them?
