Mea culpa and all that. I could claim it was a test to see if anyone is paying attention, but you probably wouldn't believe me.

I found "omphaloskepsis" years ago in Mrs. Byrne's Dictionary of Unusual, Obscure, and Preposterous Words [1]. Definition: meditation while gazing at one's navel. It's not in the OED so probably wouldn't be in more quotidian dictionaries either.
