This discussion is somewhat futile as if anyone really KNOWS why a stock goes up or down. However, I am sympathetic to the actions of eToys executive. The world of copyright considers actions as paramount. If the company does not move aggressively to protect its marks, the courts will rule against them in future actions.

If I were the executives, I would protect my copyrights in the interests of shareholders and take my lumps in the stock price.
